The Ténéré Travel Trophy

In the Dutch motorcycle magazine MotoPlus volume 15 of 2024 an article about the Yamaha Ténéré Travel Trophy has been published.

The article stated that participants had received an information pack with a stamp on the envelope featuring a picture of the Yamaha Ténéré 700.

As a motorcycle stamp collector, I was of course interested, but how do you acquire one? Searching online didn't yield much, so I sent an email to the MotoPlus editorial team. After a few days, I received a reply from Ad van de Wiel with an email address for the organizers. I then emailed Jessica Gelderman of the Ténéré Travel Trophy organizers, asking how I could obtain one.

A few days later I received the stamp, with on the envelop itself a 2nd one.

What is the Ténéré Travel Trophy?
The Ténéré Travel Trophy (TTT for short) is a multi-day event exclusively for Yamaha Ténéré owners. It doesn't matter which model it is: XT600Z, XTZ660, XTZ750, XT1200Z Super Ténéré, or Ténéré 700. Most participants ride the last one in the list.

The festival successfully combines an individual group tour (in 2024 from southern Germany to Croatia) with a motorcycle meeting, an adventurous and partially unpaved route, and the challenge of becoming the #1 Ténéré Traveler. The latter is a woman or man who best completes daily tasks. It's never about time or driving skills – that would quickly turn it into a race – but about solving riddles, answering questions, and completing tasks.

Last year, the TTT was held from 8 to 15 June 2024, and 150 people participated. The event covered Germany, Austria, Slovenia, and Croatia.
The 2025 event was scheduled for 15 to 22 June, with a northerly route (Denmark, Sweden, and Norway).
