Wah Cantiknya! (Wow Beautiful!)

It's been a while since club member Ton notified me of an A4-sized sheet of stamps with a postman on a moped between the stamps.

I believed in all my "wisdom" that these were personal stamps, probably made by an enthusiast to make money with them. We do not report this kind of items in the Newsletter. But as it turns out, it is a semi-official issue that is now being issued by the "Malaysian Pos", following the example of the various other postal services of the world, chasing our money.
Within our theme we already know the Liechtenstein and Luxembourg Harley stamps, the Thai and Japanese semi-personalized stamps, and of course the Dutch Paparazzi sheetlets. Recently the Indonesian motorcycle brand sheets have been added and now these, by-the-way beautifully executed, Malaysian blocks.
The release date of this block is April 20 this year (2021). The name of this kind of stamps is Setem Ku (My Stamp).

In this case the various activities that have to do with the Aidilfitri festival are depicted. Hari Raya is a short holiday that many Muslims use to celebrate the Eid (Sugar Festival as we call it) at the end of Ramadan with family in their native village.
The different stages are depicted on the stamps by graphic artist Yasmin Yusoff. On this day, Malaysian women traditionally wear a speckled blue shirt over a plain sarong that we find on the stamps. On the last evening, the houses are lit by oil lamps and it is customary to eat good food, especially sweets (Sugar Festival) and to give each other presents. Naturally, the postal service plays a role in bringing all ordered goods to their destination. This is illustrated on the block by the postman on a delivery moped, who brings the ordered clothes to a grandmother and granddaughter in the countryside.

In total a thousand folders have been made which, in addition to the block, also contain three cards and an envelope to make an FDC. See the image on the left. It is not stated how many loose blocks have been issued.

All together thus also a very nice item for us to add to our collection.
